Are you looking for a sacred grounded kick off to 2023? The Voices of Love Threshold Choir of Atlanta (VOL) are joining forces with Shonali Banerjee, beloved Vista Yoga teacher and fellow choir member, to share with you a very special Restorative Yoga Songbath to kick off your New Year. Shonali will sequence deeply nurturing restorative yoga postures while VOL song harmonies float & land like a balm to your nervous system. In the chill of winter, there’s a special healing potency to this offering. This practice will remind you of what it feels like to be loved just as you are. Connect to an innate wisdom, the natural flow, from birth, through life and inevitably to death. What may your body, soul & psyche let go of in order to reveal deeper truths this year? Susan Patterson, leader of the choir, will guide a Letting Go Meditation.
Threshold Choirs sing at the bedside of the dying and offer their services generously, never charging a fee. “The Threshold Choir sings with and for all people. We know that music has the potential to be a healing power and can be an instrument for peace and justice. We are committed to creating a harmonious culture of inclusivity, respect and love. We affirm the beauty, dignity, and wholeness of all people and believe that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness from their first to their last breath.”
Atlanta’s choir, the Voices of Love, has been singing for individuals in the Atlanta area for 12 years and was recently highlighted in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Inspire Atlanta Story. To learn more about Threshold singing: www.thresholdchoir.org
